The work in construction and real estate management is as diverse as buildings and construction projects themselves. Should the open countryside become construction area, the construction and real estate manager picks it up. The graduate construction and real estate manager is well versed in construction and tax law, estate agency, real estate advice and facility management.
Study Aim
In order to successfully complete this undergraduate programme a large scope of specialist knowledge is required. Construction theory, contractual arrangements, business management, negotiation, valuation and time management are important components among others. Students of this degree course, which was only developed some years ago, gain the necessary "know how" for a successful profession in real estate and facility management.
Course Contents
The structure of the course and the allocation of subjects have many parallels to the other degree courses related to construction at University 21. This clearly indicates how closely these degree courses are linked together.
Students of Construction and Real Estate Management receive their specialisation by taking a combination of subjects, that besides basic instruction in construction design, construction and technology as well as mathematical and scientific fundamentals, selectively provides knowledge about commercial training and economic topics such as accounting, drawing up a balance sheet, taxes and construction law.
